====  Adventitious (Fibrous or fasciculated) root system: ====

Radicle dies quickly after emission (some months) and is replaced by adventitious roots coming out from the base of the stem (example: Monocot plants).

==== Primary Tap root system: ====

All roots are coming from the vertical growth and branching of the radicle (first root coming out from the seed) which persists during all the plant life (example: Dicot plants).

The primary tap root is limited in growth (it can die) and is replaced by additionnal secondary tap roots.
