====== Geometry ====== [[soft:xplo:private:thexplousermanual|{{ :soft:xplo:private:private:book-icon.png?50|Back to the table of contents}}]] ===== Embedded geometry ===== Some 3D mockups have their own geometry, especially if they have been built by a plant simulator. This simulator may have built a bunch of 3D geometries, i.e. 3D mesh elements. In this case, the Xplo renderers can find them and draw detailled representations of the plant organs. See the 3D View section to see how the views can been configured with various switchable renderers. ===== Geometry reconstruction ===== If the ArchiTree does not have an embedded geometry, maybe it was created with the browser plant editing features, or if it comes form a file without geometry, Xplo proposes simple tools to reconstruct a geometry from the elements properties. If your plant already has an embedded geometry, reconstructing a new Geometry will overwrite it and it will be lost. ==== Angles ==== See the Geometry > Geometry Rules to choose Insertion angle and phyllotaxy for each ramification order {{:soft:xplo:private:private:xplo-geometry-rules-1.png?300|}} {{:soft:xplo:private:private:xplo-geometry-rules-2.png?300|}} ==== 3D Meshes ==== It is possible to associate meshes to the various element types in an ArchiTree with the Geometry > Mesh Builder. For each type of element, it is possible to choose to use a tube, a plane or a given symbol coming from a file. These elements will be scaled with the default properties of each element (width, length...). The result can be seen in the 3D view. {{:soft:xplo:private:private:xplo-reconstructing-meshes.png?400|}} [[soft:xplo:private:thexplousermanual|{{ :soft:xplo:private:private:book-icon.png?50|Back to the table of contents}}]]
